Workshop Description: This class is for those who have some experience in oil painting, and will introduce the artist to landscape painting on location in the great outdoors (weather permitting).  We will focus on the basics of good landscape painting as well as how to deal with the vastness of the landscape, and how to simplify it and use it for our purpose. We will discuss how atmosphere influences the landscape, values, and edges.

There will be a demonstration and several examples to discuss, but this is a painting class, so there will be lots of painting time.  Each person will get individualized attention at their painting site as well as group discussions.

Bring any soft drinks you prefer, sun screen, bug spray etc., and something for lunch. If you prefer to sit and paint, please bring an easy to handle chair with you. A materials list will be provided prior to the class.

Hours each day will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the afternoon session being from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
